C# – A Small Start

I wrote my first C# program last night. It says hi.

namespace HelloWorld
{
    class Program
    {
        static void Main(string[] args)
        {
            Console.WriteLine("Hello World!");
            Console.ReadLine();
        }
    }
}

C#, or C sharp, is defined by Wikipedia as “a multi-paradigm programming language encompassing strong typing, imperative, declarative, functional, procedural, generic, object-oriented (class-based), and component-oriented programming disciplines.

C# was developed by Microsoft as part of its .net Initiative. You can read more here.

I am following the C# Fundamentals: Development for Absolute Beginners on Microsoft Virtual Academy. MVA is a free learning portal which can be used by anyone…that means you.
